Do these Amazing Diet patches really work?

There have been some positive weight loss results from HCA, despite a published study by the American Medical Association from 1998, which showed that HCA supplements failed to produce measurable weight loss.

Guarana: Standardized for Caffeine, stimulate with mild fat burning properties.
Chromium: Used as an aid to help regulate insulin function as well as balance blood sugar levels.
Fucus Vesiculosus (bladderwrack/brown seaweed): Promoted by diet patch producers to burn off fat. Bladderwrack contains a high level of iodine, which is used to make various thyroid hormones necessary for optional performance through the thyroid gland. Low energy levels can result from low thyroid performances; this could also cause someone to be overweight. However, iodine supplements can only be helpful if the patient actually has low levels of thyroid hormone. It is however effective in reducing blood sugar levels, which helps reduce cravings caused by insulin resistance and carbohydrate over consumption. Ingredients like chromium and guarana, while a little helpful, have minimal effects and do not lead to much actual weight loss without being accompanied by lifestyle changes. These lifestyle changes should include a healthy diet as well as regular exercise.

In the end, there is nothing really promising about the amazing diet patch. There is no proven evidence that wearing a diet patch can or will help anyone lose a substantial amount of weight. Even the Federal Trade Commission has put charges against the makes of one diet patch company for false claims after they were not able to provide the FTC with any scientifically credible evidence that their product actually did what it promised. There are many web sites offering free diet patch trials or discounted prices, however, unless you feel like spending extra time and money on something that may or may not work, stick to the proven weight loss methods like dieting and exercise.
