Teens and Acne
Teenage boys and girls or college aged boys that have mild or severe
acne problems have it the worst because they have to deal with their peers
and cannot stand for the slightest blimish. Highschool boys and girls
always seem to have the worst acne problems starting from junior high
and sometimes going into college if nothing is done to control it. Puberty
increases the hormones to kick off burning sensations in the face, black
heads, white heads, large cysts, and different forms of acne problems.
I had acne problems myself and tried everything from Oxy, Clearasil,
Nutrogena, Retin-A Creme, Antibiotics, and everything under the sun. Finally
my senior year of high school I found a dermatologist that put me on Accutaine
because I had severe acne. My dermatologist also recommended using a mild
facial soap like Lowilla Cake. It is not good advise to use a harsh soap
like Clearasil or harsh soaps you bathe with.
I still have acne from time to time but I use Reversion and Proactiv
solutions to help keep them to a minimum and make those unwanted zits
vanish. Some people are lucky and do not have to live with it for life
but some have to keep it at least until their mid 20's and even longer.
